Have been growing my hair for about 7 months and just found your website and think it's really good and will be of great support over the bad hair period i am now in. I have thick dark curly hair although I think the hairs are individually thin hairs. I've read about normal day to day hair loss becoming more noticeable with longer hair. I dont have any problems of that sort but noticed that some of the hairs I seem to see when i comb or wash my hair have the little bulb root thing on the end rather than being just hair. Are these the hairs that are dying naturally and grow back or are these ones dead and gone as far as future growth is concerned?
Thanks
Notorious, unless you are feeling them pulled out of your scalp while you comb those hairs are normal loss. You are right that it is just the process of hair shed after it reached the end of the lifespan. Just think, if you have had haircuts before, the new hair that will replace the lost one will be longer than the old one ever was. Now that's a nice thing to think whenever you see the bulb.
