Upon receiving your great advice people, I have decided that I will leave having a trim as I'm going to start a regime of proper care etc. However the advice about trims is in no way disregarded and I will ensure that if I feel it is getting out of hand that I will have a trim.
I really love the community here, some of the friendliest people come on here, so good to see.
I will post pics of me and my hair soon, speak to you all soon.
