My side hair is really bothering me, it feels like it's growing way too slow, you can see that it's not even reaching my chin yet, you think it will get better with added length??
I have the same exact issue; my hair is just a little shorter than yours. Either your hair was layered or you started out from a buzz or similar; it will take a while for the side and front hair to reach shoulder length based on the rate of growth you experience. It will always be shorter than the length in back unless you begin trims of the back to equalize it out.
Time may not cure all ills, but this one it will.

Mine is the same way. My sides are shorter then the back. Your bangs look like they are growing. Mine don't seem to grow very well.
