I have been thinking lately of getting a salon conditioning.. Have any of you gotten them?? Are they worth the time and expense?? If so, how long do they last?? I have heard some posivite things on them but thought I ask other longhairs first..
Thanks!!

Like I said in my first post, I go to a salon for a deep conditioning.
If they really know what they're doing, they'll do an analysis first, then decide on the conditioner to use, (regular, protein pack, etcetera.).
My hair felt great, looked great for a few days, and I began using a really good conditioner immediatley following, (Biolage brand) always ending my shower by turning the water cold, and rinsing the hair. (The cold water closes up the follicles, warm water opens them up). I also try to find conditioners without paraben in them.
My hair has been much slower to dry out, from styling and such, but then I've also taken styling to a minimum other than by natural means. (Without applying a hair blower).
I usually go in once a month, and for the 15 bucks, it's worth it I think, plus my hair just feels incredible afterwards.
I don't know if it actually strengthens the hair or improves the health of it, (they say it does), but what a great way to pamper yourself and your hair! I always think of this as a great way of marking time and length, kind of a way to celebrate another month without a cut, and keep me encouraged to keep going with growing! If it feels good and looks good, I'll be more likely to want to keep leting it go longer.
