My hair is finally reaching a good enough length to get me a decent tail :D ..... apart from the hair on the side of my head which keeps coming out but I guess a couple more months growth shoud settle that :)
However, as I tie my tail quite high up on the back of my head ..... the hair at the bottom and around my neck looks a total mess .... I'm dying to just cut it all off !!
Does that work ?? Having long hair on top of the head forming a ponytail - and short hair around the back of the head/neck ??

So I'd say go for it if it looks really messy. :P

if it is the thin and fluffy growth on the lower part of your neck, shaving would be o.k. If it is higher up at the neck, I'd definitely avoid it - that would be like getting an undercut. Don't move up the hair line.
