Hi everyone:
Just a quick note to tell you all that I'm temporarily cyberspace-challenged. My DSL line is out of commission -- AT&T is sending a technician tomorrow (who had better show up within the designated time frame of 8 am to 12 pm!) -- and I can only connect using dial-up. How antiquated is that? The Internet is intolerably slow; I can't bear to play on it, until my DSL is restored. How spoiled we get, huh?
Anyway, I'll be back to my regular self hopefully in a couple of days... in the meantime, I'll just be forced to go outside and get some sunshine, fresh air, and exercise. Maybe I'll end up at McClure's beach (see photo, above, that I took a couple of years back.) Ah, life is hard!
My best to everyone!

I feel your pain, dude. A few weeks ago when I was getting moved into my dorm I had to go about 4 or 5 days without DSL. It was rough, indeed. Nice beach picture, by the way. The beaches in my area are horrible. Hurricane Rita did a number on them =P
I dont mean to make you envious... but I got a 8M/640K ADSL line that is super fast, it goes out of commission every once in a while, but usually fixed within 2 hours. Or I can move to the other end of the MRT line (takes about an hour by MRT train) and get "freaking fast" Fiber line, 5M/5M... could practically start my own internet company/server/whatever on that...
Yeah, I remember one night your connection was really flaky though. It kept burping and you never could hold the chat room. You'd log right back in of course, and at one point there were four of you in there. The system dumps inactive users every ten minutes, so this was happening quite a bit.
You said that happened a lot, as I recall. I guess when your connection runs that fast, it has to stop and gasp for air once in a while. [wink]
