hi,
i never had long hair, and I allways had no hair, i want to fell the hair on my shoulders, and it looks good too, so everybody talked thats so nice, but my family don't want that i have hair, because hair are dead cells and they don't want to have hair on my head because you will get less Vitamin C and they say it is like weaing a dead animal fur on your head!!! so what should i do? and don't belive what they tell me too!!!
and should i grow long hair or not?
and thank you for helping!!! :)
The question is: what do YOU want to do; and how committed are you to doing it? Once you answer that question it doesn't matter what others say.
Big George
Don't listen to your family. What they say is very ignorant. Your hair grows regardless of how long it is, even if you shave your head or whatever. You're not losing any nutrients by growing your hair out. What a ridiculously ignorant claim.
The hair you see is dead; the 'root', or the hair below the surface, is alive. Once the hair grows through the surface, the body doesn't give a damn about it. That's why cutting doesn't hurt but pulling hair does, and that vitamin C argument is a pile of crap.
Now let me see....
You've come to a LONG HAIR board and ask for opinions of whether or not you should grow your hair.... were you anticipating anyone saying you shouldn't? This post harkens vaguely of something akin to a piece of bait dangled to evoke banter for the purpose of entertainment but I'll assume, against my better judgement that it is a sincere query.
ONLY YOU are qualified to determine whether or not to grow your hair. You know what you look like and we don't. We are woefully unqualified to render an aesthetic judgement and are left with the one option of saying you have to do what's right for you.
