I was on the long hair chat board and there was no one on. it just showed a whole bunch of times and i dont know if i went to the right place. please help?
As far as I know, it is rarely used. You should schedule the time with whoever you want to talk to.
Another idea is to post on the board here about a day before you want to gather people to chat. Late evening Eastern, which is early evening Pacific, would likely net you the most people. This will be a bit before daybreak in Europe, but around mid-day in Australia.
While people are in the chat room, this will be seen at the top of the board's main page, and this may draw others in. (This does not refresh; it just checks the status of the chat room when you retrieve the main page.)
When getting chat started, keep in mind that, if you type nothing for a ten minute segment, it will drop you out. So say something. Or even just hit the Enter key. Let it know you are still there.
