I think I'll be at 2 years in December/late November, but I'm not entirely sure. Oh, well.
I didn't take progress pics this time, mainly because I don't see a great deal of progress to picture (the actual/straight length is getting longer, but not so much the length when dry/curly. Sometimes I feel that even the actual length isn't changing, but then I couldn't tie my hair straight back before, and now I can (that is, without a center part). So, that's something. I just can't wait for my hair to be below my shoulders when dry. How awesome that'll be.
These pics show two of the new hairstyles I was trying among other things - a normal French braid and braided pigtails, both of which I've only done once and am too nervous at the moment to wear in public. The pics I have of them aren't the best quality at all, so my braids don't look that great (or much like braids at all, really). But I thought they looked pretty nice in the mirror. Darn camera.
Anyway, here y'all go:
Looks good, one of the few people with curly hair thats in ringlets tighter than mine. For having curly hair and not even at 2 years yet you made a lot of progress. Something about that hairstyle reminds me of ancient/epic battles like the movie Troy.
Thanks, man. I DID have a sorta epic/ancient feeling when I looked at the braid. Now I just need the sword and some armor. :P
Interesting first day of college you had, btw. :P I liked the "Nordic beard" thing.
My mom seems to think I'm part of a Latino pajama gang now.
Yo.
cool. i've never seen a guy here in the states pull off wearing french braids lol
my sister wore those braids 2 weeks ago. she cut her hair and it matches your length now =/ lol it used to be all the way down her back.
what did you say is the name of the hair oil that you use? i'm looking for it. Africa's Best?
Still messy, but looks longer. I approve. Though I'm glad I can now tie it straight back, I don't like the look on me as much as the center-parted pony, which is weird, because I was expecting the opposite. Go figure.
i think it looks good, and keep up the work:)
Ha. Note Korn and System of a Down posters in background.
yay for SOAD =)
Your hair is coming along nicely, btw. I think my favorite pic is the ponytail one. Happy continued growing =)
I took my hair out of my full braid, and this is what resulted. My hair was no longer simply curly, but wavy-curly and long, and though I cheated like Ken to show extra length in this pic, I was really surprised at how long it looked dry, even if it had been stretched a bit. Too bad I couldn't get a better pic of it.
Your hair looks wonderful in this photo. Curly hair with hanging ringlets like yours looks best loose. A bandanna may be a better alternative to a ponytail for tying your hair back. It will keep those ringlets looking their best, without distorting them the way a ponytail tie will. Keep growing it, and take a good look at Bodhi. Your hair will probably look much like his when it gets really long.

I love your hair!!! and the picture is very good too because you can see hoe curly and nice your hair is!!!
This is the best pic for me Fallen_angels. The body and texture is wonderful, and it is really getting long. Good to hear from you again, take care and keep on the journey dude.
Welcome to Zion?
hehehe, right on man! You have the perfect hair for dreadlocks :D
I agree completely!!!! and take care
Looks very nice. Much better than the braids I've been trying to make. I just went out in public for the first time with my self-prepared braid. Didn't get as many stares as I'd feared!
Just awesome pics. I definitely notice a nice difference in length. Perhaps cause you see your hair everyday plus its curliness prevents you from noticing the full effect.
Your hair is both thick and silky looking, exuding a fine quality that promises to achieve amazing length. Just imagine how it will be in another year!
Congrats and happy continued growth!
The braids do indeed look as good in the pictures you posted as you thought they did in the mirror. The French braid especially looks super-keen. I would not be nervous at all about wearing that if I had the hair to do it! That is a good length for two years, and I imagine if you stretched out a lock, you'd find it was rather long. But, I guess you know that? Your hair is so shiny too. Whatever you are doing must be working out pretty good. Hope all the studies at school are coming along well. I think curly hair has its advantages although it just won't ever show as much length. But then who can really say that showing the length is any better than having it but keeping it to yourself? O, where am I going with this? Anyhow, good luck, and don't be such a stranger.

Looks great Fallen_angels! I like the tubey ringlets popping out of your ponytail. It definitely looks longer than it did in your last update. Keep up the good work, it looks really healthy.
Oh d**n, Fallen... you've got beautiful hair!! All the pictures you took are just fantastic. Your curls are so enviable! Thanks so much for posting. I can't see how anyone you might run into couldn't possibly be captivated by that hair.
Keep it going and growing.
peace,
dino
Hey Fallen Angels, I've been waiting for an update from you for a really long time now, finally here's one =) =) =)
And... oh how could you get your hair to look so wonderfull ? =) Really, I love your curls, they look so perfect, shiny, and they are so dark =) Amazing...
You are doing such a wonderfull job, I can't imagine how I would do if I had curly hair, I find it must be so hard to take care of, but you are defenitly doing a wonderfull job =) I hope you'll keep on growing your locks forever, as I am just so curious to see how it will look like in another year, and so on =)
Really fella, gongratulations, you have acomplished a lot =) About the styles, I really like the braid (I love braiding works) and you did a wonderfull job if you did braided it yourself =) I also like how you look with the bandana, it looks really good on you =) The ponytail is also really nice, it's really sweet how the curls comw out of the tie =) But I agree with you about the center part ponytail working better, as it is much healthy for hair as well...
I loved seeing your pictures, and I wanna see more =P Thank's for sharing the great update =)
