always wanted long hair but have always had a military cut. I am just now at the stage where its rubbing my ears and it feels very course and dry. I am loving the look and idea of being a longhair and can't wait for it to grow but I worry that it's so course and dry and I am using lots of conditioner. Anyone have any advice!? I don't want to give up again because this is as far as I have ever gotten. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Mike
Here are my suggestions:
1) Let it grow... and grow... and keep growing.
2) Don't be tempted to cut it. It's going to feel awkward to you on more than one occasion, believe me! Don't cut it.
3) Enjoy the journey!
If, in the end, you decide that it's not the thing for you after all, then do what you need to do. But give it a try; I think you'll discover that growing your hair long will be an eye-opening experience for you -- in a good way. :-)

My guess is that you know the time is right to grow it long and you just must stick with it. I'm only at month 10 and same as you I never done this before. Thing is the time is passing quickly and before you know it you'll be a longhair. Dont give up.
I agree. And when the hair is longer it willstay down and feel smoother.
The shorter the hair, the more brush-like it looks and feels.
Good Luck!
Thank you for you encouragement. Guess I will just have to endur it and hope for the best. Not really sure how long my goal will be, anyone have any suggestions?
Mike
I really want to become a longhair with healthy long hair. How long should I grow it before I consider myself a long hair. Thanks to all you that have supported me.
