I came home from school about an hour ago and i took a pic with my cell phone and i was quite happy with it, the leatherjacket suits pretty nice with the ponytail:)
But i'm wondering about one thing, do you guys think it would look better if i shaved my neck hair or should i let it be?
And i have one last question, is there someway to prevent the ponytail from getting messy/frizzy when it's either windy or raining outside or will it get better when the hair become longer and gets more weight?
Have a nice day!
Simon
Simon,
Your tail looks really nice. :-) I had that same problem. I had my neck hairs trimmed off by my Mom. I was about to attempt this myself, but a having someone help make things lots easier.
Where are you located? Fall hasen't even started where I am at. I am in Hampton Roads VA.
ESDI
I'm located in Kiruna, Swedens most northern city, so it's quite a distance from The United States:)
Ha, jeg havde aldrig opfattet at du var Skandinav!
Cool at vi er flere :)
In my humble opinion none should shave the hair on the neck area. It's not the 90's anymore, you know.
It doesn't look that bad, but if it really bothers you, you could maybe try waxing a part of it. I did it in the past and it hurted like hell, but I guess I was going through a stage or something.
Take Care.

Ponytails always seem to look neater with the neck hairs shaved, IMO. Since these little hairs never grow any more than an inch or so, it's not like you are really losing anything by cutting them off.
yes, i would shave my back hair because it looks better!

I'm surprised at the majority voting for a neck shave - personally I'd say leave 'em. They'll be back before you know it and you'll have to keep on shaving them all the time to keep the "clean" look. I guess if you have someone willing to do it for you and it bothers you then go for it, but I would imagine it would be an awkward (perhaps dangerous!) thing to do by yourself.
I hate to say it, but in my experience, ponytails get messed up in the wind and rain no matter how long they are, possibly even worse the longer they are. But I do live in a very windy place where rain is no stranger either!
Hi
Simon
I also wear a Leather Jackets with a Ponytail As I have about 3 or 4 Leather Jackets I prefer them to other jackets I have NEVER shaved my neck hairs of either I suppose its your choice it doesnt look that bad to me your neck hairs dont appear to be that messy to consider shaving them of but thats my opinion!
Regarding your other question more weight will help your ponytail look better and less frizzy/messy.
I have a couple of question for you how often do you Condition your hair & what hair conditioner do you use Simon ?
Axel (AKA Zig )
Hi Axel! Well, right now i'm using Sunsilk Care & Repair shampoo + conditioner for dry hair but in USA i think it's named Sunsilk Hydra TLC.
But always when i dye my hair i use L'oreal Color Vive to prevent the haircolour from fading:)
Hi Simon
In the USA Hmmmmm I wouldnt Know that as im In England/UK Ive never heard of that I use Frutis Conditioner myself Recommed by 80s Metal himself I use to use Patiene Pro V but it never did anything for my hair, I will keep an eye out for that and try it see if I get the same results as yourself !
Oh You Dye your hair Hmmmmm Did you know you can buy Dyes now a days that dont contain the harmful proxcides in that most of them do Ill find out what they are called then E-mail them to you later ok.

Axel
aha ok, i thought you were from the United States, anyway thanks for the info, and keep an eye open for Sunsilks products, as they seem to work pretty good, atleast on my hair:)
Simon
I usually clean it up a bit. But if you do that be VERY careful and stay
on the neck area. Try to avoid going too close to your hairline.
Leave it be and saves you trimming.
PI.
I would suggest getting into the habit of shaving it regularly.
