I was just wondering how everyone is combing they're hair when it's wet and you need to wait for it to dry, i usually part it and use a detangling comb, and after it's dry i just comb it straight back.
But i've heard that combing the hair straight back can cause alot of breakage, is that true??
I always comb my hair back when wet, just to keep it out of my eyes. It seems okay, I don't notice any breakage.
My friends comb it wet and there are no breakage of hair! so don't worry!!!
I don't comb my hair at all when it's wet. When it dries completely, I fignercomb and comb it gently. I don't comb back - just left, right and back, that seems easier for me.
Also, I tried washing it while it's all combed back, but it seems to cause a lot more tangles than if I leave my part intact. It's somewhat easier, too.
(hope that was understandable)
I never comb or brush when wet. I brush it when dry to de-tangle with minimal breakage, and then I finger through it once it's towel dry after washing.
If you brush/comb while it's still wet, it will stretch the hair, significantly increasing the risk of breakage.
If I let my hair dry before brushing at all, it seems to cause more breakage when I attempt to brush after it dries.
I have to admit to combing when wet although i do understand this is not considered to be best practice. I do adopt a different combing technique when wet though; first of all i start off by finger coming only to remove any tangles, then i gently use a comb to find the part and straighten it out. Then I will towl dry slighly to stop it from dripping and then just wait for the rest to dry. Then just before im going to leave the house to go to work (normally arrive at 7:15am) I will towel dry again just to remove any remaining water and then use my combe once more. Then usually once i arrive at work i will combe it once more. Then after that i may combe again during the day as and when needed.
Hope that helps,
Mogh

I don't. In my case if I comb or brush my hair when wet there is alot of breakage. So, I only do when dry...........and I Finger-Comb at that.
Hi
