Last week I was interviewed by columist Peter Svensson of the Assocated Press. They even sent a photographer from Buffalo, 70 miles away.
The column hit the wire today. Look for "Ditch the car? Don't laugh, it works for some creative commuters". Your paper may change the headline. Several photos shipped with the piece, and again, your paper gets to choose which one(s), if any, to run.
Svensson is a technology writer whose column generally appears in teh business/financial section, but the story also went out on the General News wire.
My problem is that the local Daily Fishwrapper and Birdcage Liner doesn't carry his column. If you come across the piece, could you send me the page? Email me through the link in my profile for my address.
The column has already hit the interweb at the San Francisco Chronicle. No pics though, in the online version.

p.s. congratulations on the news story and punting your car; i wish i could dump my car. if I didn't have to travel cross country I'd get rid of it.
I think I can excuse myself from reading the column--I've been carless by choice for almost a year now. My work is a 1.5 mile urban hike from my home.
Cool stuff! I've been carless for nigh onto twenty-three years now.
I guess I would have a car if I could afford it, though.
