Hey fellas!
I finally decided (with the help of my sister) what to do about my split ends (few of them) and the dryness at the ends.
Since I am really scared og going into the hairdresser, because I know she will take too much lenght, despite the fact that I trust her a lot, I decided that I am taking 100% care of my hair, and will go on by simply trimming it myself. So tomorrow I am going to see if I can find some haidresser alike scisors to use myself. I think that I can manage pretty well, since I have trimmed the hair of a frind of mine once and it went really great (and it was V shaped so mine is gonna be easier because I intend to start shaping it straight ahead)... So I think that I am going to trim it a little past the 2 year mark, since I intend to mark the 2 years with no cuts at all.
Either ways, I will just trim like 1/4 inch from the very lower layers of my hair, just to make the ends more blunt and to fresh up the ends, that are already too dry. Then I will have the apropriate scisors for any time I need another trim (which I expect that will happen from year to year).
I just wanted to share the news with you, and I'm quite exited, because I know I will like the results =)
Thank's for reading, and I really want your opinion about this... I really trust myself for the job, I think i can make it, and I think my hair needs a little trim... I consider trims to be healthy, and one of my goals besides really long hair is really healthy hair...
So... opinions?? Thank's again guys =) I would never do it without you =)
See ya!
I hope that goes well for you! I've only found a couple split ends on myself so I don't think it's time that I got a trim yet. I hope the trim goes well, I think that's the course I'd most likely want to take when the time came, I don't have many hair dressers to trust either!
why dont you enlist the help of your sister in this crucial endeavor. I wouldnt trust myself snippin away in the back let alone the front. you should take a gander at my uneven sideburns :[
I was going to say the same thing.
I imagine she would do the best job of all.
Boa sorte!
Hi there, I think you are making the right decision - you posted that site with instructions on how to cut your own hair I think? Those are pretty much how I have been cutting my hair for many many years as I wouldn't trust a hairdresser to trim my hair either - one inch seems to translate in their brains to four inches!! You can usually find decent scissors for sale in chemists shops (pharmacies) - the "professional" scissors can cost a lot of money but they will last pretty much forever.
You clearly look after your hair so well and it will make you feel much safer to cut it yourself and not risk someone else doing something you don't want. Your sister can help the first few times in case you need help with getting it even, or to spot stray strands the you've missed.
I'm sure you will do a great job.
