here is a pic, what would be the best look for me. Looking for serious suggestions from you guys----help!
Errr....butt-length hair and all the stages in between?
Sorry, I don't suppose that's a very serious answer...but it's an honest response!
Since you posted this question on the Long Hair Hyperboard, it should come as no surprise what the answer here will be. I assume you are looking for support for long hair rather than to inquire as to what is best.
My questions to you are: Do you have the desire, fortitude, and inner strength to achieve your goals? Do you know what those goals are? Is long hair one of them, or just a passing fancy?
It would be much easier to give you an honest appraisal with a little more information.

And I'm a little biased.
Gotta be careful when you walk with it down.
HAHA! The stumply little dude is awesome.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but only you can decide that.
After all it is your hair, your head, your life.
So the best way to approach this question: let your hair grow,
try diffeerent styles, different lengths at verious times.
Only then can you decide what fits you best.
People can and will have suggestions of how you should cut your
hair, but ultimately it is up to you.
Most people here use a similar method regardless of what kind of hair the have. They just refrain from cutting it in any way for maybe about 2 years or so and see what develops. You will certainly find out if longhair is for you by 2 years into it. Hopefully you stick it out and join us!
Hi Mike,
you got a great-looking face, and you do look good with most hair styles - seriously!
However, the one I'd go for right now would be to keep the parting line in the middle and to let it grow at least to your shoulders - perhaps with your bangs tucked behind your ears. You should be able to pull this off within about 15-18 months.
A little bit later, you can also try a pony tail, and, I'm sure, within two to four years, you'll inevitably find the length that's best for you - maybe terminal?
On your way, you'll notice that you will have several different looks - so every few months, there's something new to discover.
Enjoy your "hair evolution" - and post some pictures whenever you feel you have something new to show.
One more thing: Make sure you keep that friendly, open, and (do I get this right?) optimistic smile; it spells out "This is a great guy".
Happy growth - and, enjoy the "journey"!
