Been growing for about 10-11 months now and getting pretty long but damn it I am having some curl action going on and I hate it. Need to get it straight, any products out there that anyone uses to straighten? Not talking one or two days either need a more monthly treatment to keep it straight through washings and the like
Thanks
J
Unfortunately we all have "curl action" going at this stage. It tends to flip at the ends from where it is resting.
Is your hair normally straight, or is it curly? If it is normally straight, trying to straighten it won't do much good.
normally just a little wave in it, not curly curly like slash from guns n roses or anything. After I figure this out I am going to a surgeon to get my front corners "replaced" Thinning in the front and I swear to GOD im going insane over this. My wife is the one that is supposed to be the VAIN one but I guess its rubbing off on me. Back to the wavy part, the front top and sides are straight as an arrow its just the back that has the waves to it. If I blow it dry I can get it mostly straight but honestly it spreads out too much. Might try that bed head stuff and see if that works tomorrow. Any other suggestions im open to let me know.
THanks guys!
Normally my hair is straight as an arrow. I'm now almost 10 months into letting it grow, and I actually have full curls at the ends after my hair drys where it sits on my shoulders; I can actually wrap them around my finger. I am guessing that after I get another 3 inches of growth these will fall back out.
It's been 30 years since my hair has had length; I didn't realize HOW MUCH I MISSED IT!!! Just give it some time; most here say two years to see how it will look.
Good luck.

the only straightening products to my knowledge are intended to be washed out...I don't think theres anything that would last months at a time...unless you just don't wash your hair of course...
There is a semi permanent (lasts about 2 to 3 months) japanese method you could use. My wife gets that done every few months or so. She is sleeping at the moment, so cannot find out what its called. But will let the board know tomorrow.
