well, its been almost 9 months since my crewcut...
i guess my hair is growing at a pretty much normal rate...
its the longest hair i've ever had in my life by far, but i'm loving it so much i dont feel my original goal of 6 in. of hair will be enough!
im looking forward to growing it to at least mid-back length now...
my hair seems to curl outward but thats part of this stage i guess...
i love how shiny my hair is though...
any comments would be appreciated!

And it is already looking great! Just let it grow undisturbed for at least a couple of years and if possible "enjoy" all the different looks that come about during the "Awkward Stage." Believe me, in the end you will be WELL rewarded beyond anything you could imagine.
My best to you for continued success.
I think you are making great progress: If I saw you on the street, I would guess that just 9 months ago you had a buzz cut!
Healthy-loking hair with natural waves. And from now on every inch with show and
make a dramatic difference in the way your hair looks.
Remember just one thing: if your desire to be a longhair ever 'goes away,' wait a couple of weeks and then if you still don't like
long hair, get a haircut. I am a great believer in happy and content with the
way you look. Otherwise your self-confidence and your personality will suffer.
When I began growing again almost 10 months ago, I was looking for shoulder length also. But I like my hair so much I also am going longer; shoulder blades at least.
Your hair looks great for 9 months. Let it grow for a while and see how you like it. It's always simple to go shorter down the road if you so desire.

Your hair looks good. As your hair gets longer it will relax and the curls you have will be a nice touch
