First off I've been sick with the flu for a little while now (but I'm ok now *cough*) so I just wanted to adress you 2 guys in case you wouldn't have seen my pov on your original posts.
Fallen Angels: simple and to the point- your hair is coming along great and your 'cheating' shot proved how great it will look in the future. Thanks for the update.
LukeB-first of all, I respect you and I respect your decision to cut your hair as much as I do anyones, however I am a bit annoyed by one of the rationales you have used a few times in the past.
i.e. 'I don't want to look like a wrestler'.
I have taken these statements as reffering to Pro Wrestlers, if not then please discount this point of mine.
Basically Pro Wrestlers have the kind of body that takes years to achieve and indeed the same applies to muscle-building generally speaking. I can assure you that after working out for 3, 4, 6 months etc. you will not be close to having the body of anyway decent Pro Wrestler.
I also say this for your own benefit. In case you are fooled by the 'newbie' gains, guys get when first doing bodybuilding properly. Unless you start juicing it up, that aint gonna continue at the same rate after the first 3months-1 year(i.e in terms of muscle hypertrophy; striation and getting cut up and cardiovascualr fitness etc. are all seperate areas in relation to improvement).
So i don't want you getting freaked out and thinking that in 6months you'll be He-Man with a mid-length style (and cutting your hair accordingly). Ok?
I guess I probably laboured that point about the wrestlers too much. It's just that my view of myself has changed. Long hair just isn't as important to me now as it once was. I think it's best to escape now at this relatively early stage before I REALLY go mad. I've hardly been able to think of anything else for nearly two months - will I or won't I cut it. It's got to stop.
One thing I forgot to mention in the first place was that because I'm gay, and gay men with long hair are even rarer than straight men with long hair, my chance of finding someone automatically drops because it's assumed I'm straight, and I'm pretty straight acting in the first place. So it's just another impediment. This is just one of many reasons I'm giving it all away, not a major reason but one of them.
And yes I know it takes a long time to get muscly like those wrestlers, which is not the look I'm wanting anyway. I think some guys take bodybuilding way too far and are so low in body fat it starts to look hideous. Every vein in their body sticks out and they look kind of wrinkly. I don't want that and I'm sure I won't work hard enough to get it.
I also know from recent experience that you make some good gains then it slows down. Damn that plateau! :)
Anyhow, if I do regret cutting it, it's not the end of the world. I can always grow it back. That's guaranteed.
LukeB
excellent point!!*thumbs up*
