In the last few months of growth my family and friend have been messing with my hair. It was ok at first but now it's beginning to get annoying:
One person wants to put twists in it so that "it will grow"--it's been almost 12 months and my hair is 7 inches long so it's growing at the normal rate. I don't even have to stretch it to show that my hair is growing.
Others like feeling how soft and curly it is--funny at first, but I really dont like people to touch me even my friends lol
And others want to cut it completely--considering they wont quit touching my hair I think they might actually be stupid enough to try it while I'm sleeping or something like that =/
How many of you guys deal with this on a regular basis?
i began growing my hair July 2. today is September 12 so it's been loosely 13 1/2 months =) and i have 7 inches of growth.
Yes! My hair frequently gets messed with. And I love it. Like a cat getting his head scratched :)
I completely agree. Anyone can mess with my hair anytime, and they do.
Agreed I love it.

Sorry but I love 'messing' with guys long hair, it's sexy!! However, I never ever touch anyone without permission (I'm a good girl lol)
(slinks off into the darkness...)
Rarely. And I don't really like it.
Hello Frizzy hair,
I understand it can be annoying when people mes your hair but I guess it must be tempting to do it. Any pictures of your now 7 inches of (frizzy and stretched) hair ?
An admirer ;)
hehe are you sure? =P my curls are tighter than Fallen_Angels (although I do find perfectly straight strands of hair in my head =P) and yea my hair is still somewhat frizzy (though just in the back where I can't tie it yet) I planned on starting to pony tails in the next 2-3 months when I'm sure i can fit it all into it. Can you wait that long or would you rather have a picture now? =P
If I can choice : now then later when you'll have your pony tails. For my part I don't like pony tails... But I really love frizzy hair !
Believe me, it can happen. I had really long hair for six years as I play in a band.To get even with me for something I didn't do, my girlfriend cut off all my hair when I was sleeping at her dorm- and took my clothes. I had to walk back to my dorm with no hair and in my long johns!
I do, and I find it both wonderful and horribly offensive - that is, it's like, "Wow, people care/think enough about my hair to tell me something about it!" or "You're such an extroverted, opinionated jerk that you have to tell me what your asinine, pathetic little opinion is?" My problem is that people, particularly other Caribbean people (and I guess I can't blame them, since the hairstyle I sport is not a common one for non-rasta guys in the islands), often loudly advise me to get cornrows or even ask me when I'm cutting it off, and when I respond to them, they ask me why I won't cut it off. Okay, I understand that my hair is curly and that cornrows/braids are a very common style for such tightly-coiled heads of hair as my own, but close your mouth for once. I don't need to fit whatever image you think is best, because, hello, you're not the supreme deity of the world. At the same time, I admire their freedom of speech and opinion, and I wonder where the line between my ambivalence really lies.
Oh, and as far as I know, cornrows done too tightly can really mess up your scalp and pull out hairs, so I'm in no hurry to try them out. Playing with my hair I like and tolerate, as long as the person doesn't start getting all wild and savage on me (which has happened before. *shudders at memory*). I wouldn't mind braids, since mine would end up pretty darn long, kind of like Sean Paul's, but still....
hehe well knowing something new about cornrows, i guess i wont try them out either =P. oh you should see the guy in my other thread about a guy's hair style. he looks hilarious

Some people want to play with my 'fur', and for girls
I usually reply. I grip a strand of my locks
and start petting her face, nose etc. . My curls are extremely soft, so they enjoy this pleasurable touch.
Works nice :-)
Best wishes, Adalbert
