I have wavy hair while i can run my hands through most of my hair when i reach the ends i get stuck. no matter how much i brush, comb, finger comb and trim off the dead ends nothing works, my ends still get stuck together and knot a little bit. It is annoying because my hair seems to weave together at the ends, i used to think it was damaged, old split ends causing it but when i got a good 2 inch trim the problem is still there. Anyone have any tips on how to keep the ends from matting together? Maybe i just have knotty hair, but i have to roughly pull my hair apart to seperate the tangled ends. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
the conditioner can make a difference. i ran into your problem when i tried garnier fructis. when i went back to aussie mega the problem went away.
I get the same thing, but then I started finger-combing from the ends and working back up to the scalp, rather than the other way around, and that pretty much made the problem go away for me (90%, at least). Starting from the scalp and working down just seems to reinforce the knotting.

Perhaps if you try this it may help:
Begin at the very bottom and "finger-comb," but with a variation. As you slowly work your way down have your hand moving quickly back and forth as you go. When you meet resistance stop and seperate the tangle as best as you can right at where the tangle or knot is. DO NOT do this without having control of the hair higher up so that you won't be pulling hairs out of your scalp or snapping ends.
Hope this proves to be helpful to you.
