So I saw on the front page of the Star Ledger today, in NJ, had this article on a guy who has a website www.ourprisoner.com where people basically vote on what he should do.
Apparently, they voted for him to get his waist long hair cut :(
While checking out the forums there, I noticed Absalom had a profile there too!
Just thought I'd pass this on.
I was looking for a clip of it but couldn't find one.
From what I understand, it's part of a deal he made to do this for 6 months, in which at the completion of it, he'd get a full time job, a house, and stock options.
*shrugs* it always disturbs me to see this kind of stuff
Here are 2 threads I found discussing it:

Oh man, this person REALLY pisses me off:
"He is going to look great with a good short haircut.
he can be a role model for other long haired men who need to grow up"
The question is: WHY did he want to put it up for a vote?
And worse yet...he followed through with it?!!!
Maybe he was just looking for an excuse to do it.
Hey ATP, this is truly sad, he finally gave in and got it cut back to about 5 inches long. I sent him some supportive e-mails to not cut his hair, but apparently it did not work.
Yes, I was hoping I could convince him not to cut. I am VERY passionate about long hair.
Same here, it really disturbs me too. I don't think I could watch a video of his hair being cut, if it was available. It disturbs me equally whether it is done to a male or female.
Which person pisses you off the most? Is it charlie, moondustNroses, or dennisdodie? For me, charlie is likely the worst. All 3 of them were screaming for him to get his hair cut, and all of them are idiots, if you ask me.
NOT SO!!!! Short hair looks awful on him! He is short in stature, and long hair made him appear taller. Appearing taller, even if it is an illusion, can improve your success in life.
That's strange, since growing my hair long played major role in my growing up process.
Absalom (Who is very passionate about long hair.)
.... he can be a role model for other long haired men who need to grow up"
I wouldn't dignify this arrogant bit of ignorance with any response. It is profoundly narrow minded and short sided to equate maturity with hair length. So much more goes into "growing up" including the ability to see past aesthetics such as hair and clothing style to get a sense of one's character that making the above statement has more af a bearing on its maker's maturity than it does on that of a long haired man.
So men like Ben Franklin need to grow up?
Since this is just another lame "reality" show, and since they thrive on publicity, the best thing to do is just not mention them. ATP--if you agree to it, how about having the moderators remove this thread? Less google hits, less publicity, less buzz, less ad revenue, bye-bye... ummm... what was that again? I forgot already. :)
I'm ok with it being removed.
But it's not like any link I provided in the thread is 'clickable', so to speak.
The only way to check it out is to c&P it on a browser, which they won't be able to track.
Unless this guy was a total dunce, he went into this knowing what would probably happen. Had he not been so readily willing to cut his hair he would not have taken part. The decision by him was already made.
He was in it for the benefits he received, not to keep his hair. I don't feel sorry for him one bit. It's stunts like this that belittle the committment people have towards maintaining their hair length.
Big George
typical ass hole who probably drives around in a hummer, while sipping frappacinos and wearing gucci.
I would point out this is one big ad for Big String.
I checked it out a while back, never could get back into
my account and couldn't create a new one.
Login is badly set up.
It's all a viral ad campaign for Big String so take it with
a huge grain of salt.
