Hi everyone, I was wondering if it is best to let hair dry naturally when u come our of the shower or is it better for the hair to towel dry it a little or whatnot. Yes i know blow drying is not good for the hair that is why i am not really asking about it but i was just wondering which one of the first two is better for the hair and the scalp.
Thank you :]
I'm not real sure which is better but first I usually use the towel to absorb most of the water [put the towel around my hair, then squeeze, not rub it like you'd normally think of towel drying]. Then, 2)finger comb, 3)GENTLY brush, 4)use the towel again to get more water out, and then just let it air dry. On occasion, I'll gently use a hair dry to speed up getting it slightly damp, not to the point of totally drying my hair.

For me its towel dry out of the shower and then I comb it out with a wide tooth comb as my hair is just plain straight and its easy to do.If its a bit tangly I'll add some leave in conditioner directly to the comb teeth which works well.Nice guitar by the way as I wish I had the patience to learn to play as my electric been sitting cased under my bed for years!Maybe I should open it just to make sure its still there!LOL.Anyway hope your haircare goes well!Take care!Mark
Try doing stuff to it... like sand it down and paint it another color. Not as easy as you think if you want to make it look professional. Lots of time is needed.
Well thanks for the suggestion but since I don't have the patience to learn to play it I certainly have less to refinish it.Actually I don't think I could make it look better as the original finish is in perfect condition. Its a deep metallic candy apple red and I had it made to order at the time. Not bad for someone who certainly is no professional!LOL.Just for the record I bought it in 1984 and its a Hamer Phantom.Very cool looking guitar.Mark
Been doing this for so long, I just had to put hardware to it, and since that mighty mite red body is giving me so much trouble, I took all the hardware off of that and put it on this one. Im getting a warmoth body (and going to paint it too) to replace that mighty mite peice of crap. Here it is....
Hey everyone thanx for the help
well to let u know that is what i do most of the time too
i usually dry it a little with a towel since i have alot of hair (i hope it stays that way) and even after i towel dry it it is still wet so i let it sit and dry because its almost imposible to dry it completly with just a towel or even a blowdryer, it would take a while
and for the guitar do u have a picture of your krammer? i like them
i have a black jackson randy rhoads 3
and i have a handmade gibson flying V from 1985 (i posted the picture) which needs some work. i also have a squire which was my first guitar and an acoustic because i play alot of flamenco
Man! thats a nice guitar.. You said that was from 85? pretty good condition for a guitar that old. I wonder is the finish nitrocellouse lacquer or did they use poly by then? The wood looks like ash to me though. What kind of work you need to do on it?
well i really dont know what they used but
i think the wireing inside has a little problem and there are little parts missing around the guitar such as a toneknob some tuningknobs and so on and sme would just be better of with a reniewal. This guitar would be perfect if i could somehow install a floyd rose bridge on it. haha it would be a mnster.
You sure you want floyds? you'd take a long time to change strings on a floyd. Anyways if it was a hardtail to begin with you'd need to make some serious routes to put a floyd on it, plus you need to install a floyd locking nut to the neck as well... its not small.
Yep. i know i have a Jackson RR3 flying v myself that has a floyd rose bridge... painful when changing strings
but u get used to it
and it serves well :]
I generally find that towel drying works best as my hair will very rarely look it's best without me first towel drying to get rid of most of the wetness and then a thorough comb through with a wide-toothed comb in order to get it to not stick to my head. I find that towel drying is also easier and far less time consuming as you don't have to wait for the water to dry out. However it's entirely up to what you find easiest and most convenient at the end of the day so try out various methods and see what suits you the most. I find that when I have a bad hair day it's usually really bad but that's only when I haven't towel dried first.
Take care and peace dude.
