I rarely brush my hair but i've bought a real boar-bristle brush and i'm wondering if brushing daily is too much for the hair, is it enough with just once a week?
dude, i just bought a BBB as well and i was told to use it daily for just a bit to stimulate the scalp and to help with circulation. (im a short hair still trying to get a good start)
i hope you get some answers to this one, i need to know to!

basically this post was no help at all, huh?
Heh, I'm a dread-head, so it'll be the same here ;)
I gave up on brushing a looooong time ago
Nice and funny reply :-)
If I stopped brushing my curly fur now, I would end up
with dreads next month ;)
Maybe I'll get them because, while aging,
I become more and more lazy... By now, I brush w/wide toothed comb and fingercomb once-twice a day.

Brushing, combing or Finger-Combing. ALL are very good (depending on hair type of which choice works best) to do on a "daily" basis. A week is much FAR too long! It is good for the hair in that it helps bring the naturals oils secreted from the scalp and distribute them to the ends of the hair.(Best thing you could treat your hair to.)
Everyone is different. A Boar-bristle brush for me is the most destructive weapon of all for my hair type. Other guys can use one with little trouble and even brush while the hair is still wet.
Good luck to you and I hope this answer proves helpful.
