I love my hair when it's straigtened and well, not so much when it isn't.
I was wondering how damaging frequent (daily) straightening is and what can be done to lessen or eradicate these damages.
Right now I use my sisters ceramic straighteners (the make is ASAP I think). They were bought from the hairdressers and are the same ones they use there (they were about 100 pounds so not cheap).
I realise this is probably a common question but I have tried to look on google for any information and I couldn't find much.
I know there is heat protector but that's all, and I don't know the effectiveness of it.
I really appriciate a link or any help.
Thanks
Dave
well the first time i grew my hair out i straightened it pretty much every day, and eventually my hair got so damaged i had no choice but to cut it off. i was using a cheap straightener though, so that might be the difference.
I can't see how a different straightener will make a difference.
The point is, your hair and your roots are getting hot, which is what's damaging them in the first place.
You really can't control the shape of your hair in a non-harmful way. =/
You just have to accept what you have and make the best of it.
