I live in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney Australia.
Long story hope y'all don't get bored!
I went shopping today at the local Coles..on a very windy day + it's about 30 degrees c with gale force winds.(hot for this time of year)
On the way there in the car I saw an 18-19 yo guy walking along the footpath with chin length all one length sandy white hair blowing around everywhere in his eyes and mouth etc, I thought to myself "nice hair". Then in the shops carpark there was a guy with all one length hair just like mine getting into his car. Inside the shops most of the male employees had long emo style hair (not for me but it was quite long). Then at the checkout there was a guy with shoulderlength hair in his late 20's in front of me, held back with sunglasses on top of his head.
Back to the carpark and I saw 2 guys with mid shoulder length ponytails in their 40's, and as I was leaving the carpark I saw an early 20's guy with a butt length blond ponytail. All this time I was thinking "I'll be OK if I face into the wind" to myself, my hair was going in my mouth and everywhere. So windy!
So to me it appears that longhairs are on the increase, if you need further evidence just look at how many new members are coming to this board. A refreshing change to all the shorthair and flipback styles of only a couple of years ago.
Have lovely rest of your day!

These are the key words - let's hope those who are experimenting with long hair because it is currently quite fashionable actually like it so much they keep it. Peer pressure to cut might be quite serious soon.
Well, I've been wanting to grow my hair out for over a year now, so when I finally do get the chance, I'm not going to cut for anything or anyone!! I'll cut it when I get tried of it, but only after waiting a long time to make sure that's what I want, but I don't see myself coming to that. LoL!!
Good luck on your journey
It really will be fascinating to see whether the current upsurge generally is maintained in two years time
I see a lot more guys with pony tails now than in the past.
That's awesome as in my book you can never have too many longhairs and it is refreshing to see more and more of it in an everyday environment as it should hopefully encourage work bosses to become more liberal towards long hair and different styles of hair in general. Most of my friends have long hair so I get used to it. Just wish that mine would hurry up and get there though.
