Hi everybody,
A little over a week ago, I got back from a vacation trip to the northeast, the southeast, and the west of the United States. I noticed that more young guys in their teens and 20's are wearing their hair long or at least "longish" than just a few years ago. The best encounter was a long conversation with a male long-haired prospective college student (pony tail length) traveling to his new university near the west coast together with his father, who is VERY supportive of his son's intention to grow his hair even longer. (If it is you reading this, you'll remember me ;-) However, I had no success in talking the father into growing his hair ;-) unfortunately he's in a similar situation like Bruce Gallagher - MPB-wise. - In any case, an excellent encounter.
Back in Germany, I attended my 30-year high school reunion - and many of the male students are wearing the very same longish AND long hair styles that my fellow students wore over 30 years ago - what a good feeling! Too bad I couldn't grow my hair back then...
Watching an old Woodstock video on DVD ("Woodstock diaries"; I knew the "Director's Cut" already) neatly complemented these experiences...
Greetings to everybody, and happy growth to you all!
Hans-Uwe
Where in the southeast were you?
Robert
Hi Robert,
I was in Melbourne and Stuart/Fl, and near Wilmington NC (a college town, of course, and lots of new inhabitants)
Greetings,
Hans-Uwe
I recently got back from a trip to Daytona Beach, Florida, and I also noticed a large number of guys with long hair. Many of them in pony tails.
Many of the guys working on construction crews had long to very long hair. It was a pleasure to see.
