Hey gang. Was at my local coffee shop this morning hangin' with my eclectic group of friends, me being the only longhair. In walks a dude with mid back length hair. He sat down near us and eventually joined in the discussion. Later I got to talking to him about long hair, the "norms" stereotypes, etc. Another friend of mine who works for the GOV shared the bias against longhairs(and earrings on men)where he works. As a school teacher I've felt the same thing and am 1 of only a few in a District of over 500 teachers. Bottom line...I left feeling good about who I am, how I choose to live my life, and with a new local longhaired brother. I mentioned this group and he said he'ld check it out. Peace - Bruce

    To the contrtary, I think CURLY and WAVEY hair looks far more interesting than straight, --- and yet, I don't go around telling everyone with straight hair to go get a perm. Bruce's hair to me looks AWESOME, and I hope he leaves it exactly as Mother Nature made it!.
