do any of you uys think it looks ok when a guy goes out with hair grips in to hold there fringe back? or do you think its to feminine?
Why worry about your hair looking feminine when your whole appearance is feminine? Not judging, just applying some logic.
are you joking? looking at your other posts i thought you were female.
Considering 'nisha' is (mostly) a girl's name, I would have thought this too.
That's a little harsh, although the hair straightening post had what looked like bra straps and a strappy top(?)
Both of the other posts I saw had hair ribbons also. there again, those used to be common on men in the 17th or maybe 18th century for example, but I don't think they had elastic back then, and I understand that they mostly used black ribbons.
I think it's a personal choice whether to use various hair accessories. OTOH, at this point most people ignore hair bands on guys, which wasn't always the case. Being old enough, and having had long hair long enough, I can remember when wering hair down was the only option for guys, although you could wear an indian headband. I saw one the other day, BTW, for the first time for years.
Slides, barrettes and clips are another matter. Buns and hairsticks are also hovering on the edge of accetablity. I wish we could use all these things without having to think we will look girly, but that's not really the case. Given that long haired guys are only 2-3% to start with, change will come slowly.
If you are 6ft tall and muscular with a square jaw, you can get away with anything, because no-one is going to argue with you! OTOH, if you are trying to look feminine then I suppose it's not a problem either, but most of us don't fall in those categories.
So I suppose it comes down to confidence. Some of these accessories I don't care for, and some I don't have the nerve to wear. For the record I don't even think slides worn at the side usually look too great even on girls, but a bun would be handy sometimes and most of the things you can use to hold it I'm a bit leary of!
harsh? hardly being harsh. wearing females clothes, the bra straps? the ribbinsand bows? "nisha" asked for the truth and so yes i do think it looks feminine, but then again i also think that nisha is in fact not a man.
Okay okay.. I am actually really confused now. whats going on?
Look at Nisha's previously posted pictures and you'll see.
It's not harsh at all. If anything, I expect this nisha guy is loving the fact that someone mistook him for a girl. As I pointed out in a reply that never made it onto the board as the original post was deleted before I submitted it, this guy's posts always refer to how feminine he looks - he is pushing his fantasy and making it the focus of his threads.
Helgast - this IS a guy.
Matt
Well, i thought so too. after all your display name is Nisha and i was guessing it was a girl's name.. afterall i know a girl called Nisha.
I don't find it a problem as i can't understand why you are wearing it ... you dont want people to think you are female rather want to manage it ... However Yes it does confuse the person who is looking from back ... You could possibly wear a soft cloth cap ...
After all you have great hairs ... ditch those people who can't respect it dude ... Do what you want to ... we like your hair.
Srini.
I think it's okay. There isn't anything wrong with being yourself. If you like it, that's all that matters. :)
I wear them regularly when my hair is in a tail, as the front is not long enough to reach the band in back. I have had no comments whatsoever.
And being 6'1" and 285 lbs, I don't expect many comments if any.
