This is actually a number of months old. The person person who snapped it is no longer with the company. This is a very candid shot. I'm annoyed that my hair is flopped over at a wierd angle, and the cup in the background is distracting since it's in line right under my nose. OTOH, it's cool that the hair tie formed an infiniy symbol (look to the lower left of the cup). Being a candid shot, it's an excellent portrayal of what I look like when working. The scene would look very similar if shot tomorrow, except there would be another computer and monitor in the background (!).

Man, Steve, your cubicle has even less room for yourself and stuff than mine does lol. You need more space to work your creative gift :)
OTOH you look fine, the very model of longhair tech guyness :)
You can't see the foreground in that shot. To the left of the keyboard and in the foreground is enough room for another monitor; I keep books and papers there. The CPU is also there on this funkly little shelf that fits it just perfectly, although there was nothing to indicate that's what it's for. If I have any complaints about the cube, it's this huge mechanism underneath that's there to support the adjustable keyboard rest. One of our guys actually went so far as to remove the mechanism, and replace it with home-made metal strips from a hardware store. The thing doesn't bother me enough to make me want to do that, though. The mechanism is a huge metal hinge with springs. I think it would make a good front suspension for a go-kart. I wonder what they were smoking when they designed that thing.
High!
Classical IT office nerd... cool! Do you C++?
See you in Khyberspace!

Although I've done C++ in the past, I do almost exclusively C now. It's lead me into deep, dark recesses of open source kernels and other crazy places.
