I think the thing about long hair that annoys me the most is fact that I must keep it tied back in order to function.
This is an older picture, but it does illustrate the way my hair falls naturally across my face. It is too thick to stay tucked behind my ears. Unless I tie it back in some manner, the only part of my face that would be visible would be my nose!
I think to myself "What is the point of having long hair if you can't let it show?" But unfortunately, vision is a necessary part of my life, so the hair gets wrangled back with clips and ties.
I feel ya bro...I have the same problem...especially when I'm studying and all my hair get's in my face...gosh..that pisses me off...and like your hair...mine is pretty thicl so I can't tuck it under my ears...neither can I restrain it cause it ain't long enough..
i know its really feminine but if i was you, i'ld wear some hair clips if its not long enough for a ponytail, people will get used to you wearing them after a while
actually..now that I thought about it...a bandana is a good alternative...doesn't look girly :))
i love hair in my face =)
Not sure if this is a stupid response, but couldn't you just part your hair down the middle? From the picture you posted, the parting appears to be more to the right side, which, naturally, will cause the hair to hang in your face. It also creates more hair on one side, making it more difficult to tuck that side of hair behind your ears.
Another option is to employ the "brushed back" or "gelled back" options, which will probably work for you if you're a fan of how ponytails look on your face. This style requires more maintenance than the center part, perhaps, but will greatly reduce the hair in your face. Just stay away from tornadoes. Actually, that might be a good general idea. :P
Peace
Up until the moment that picture was taken, all my hair had been brushed straight back. It was not parted at all! As I leaned into the camera, the right side fell forward. Right after the shutter clicked, the left side fell forward too. I have a natural part that is just left of center - just to the outside of my very pronounced widow's peak. Whether or not I part my hair has no effect on the way the curtains fall.
Good advice for somebody who lives in the Midwest!
Perhaps adding some leave in conditioner, or jojoba oil after it dries, would help? It does add some weight to the hair and makes it a bit less unruly.
I do use a leave-in -- either L'Oreal Anti-friz serum, or Aussie Hair Insurance.
Conditioners may help make it more manageable, but does not change the fact that it is a mane of thick, heavy hair!
