Well,
It was about 5 1/2 months ago I last cut my hair.
After months of hearing my wife say, "your hair is looking pretty big", or, "kinda 'poofy' there, Shawn" she has started, these last few days, saying, "you're hair is looking pretty good". At first I thought she was still being critical albeit sarcastically so, but no. She like it! (That's good becasue I am committed to growing it until Winter of 2008 before I decide whether or not my hair actually will grow downwards after if grows outwards.)
And today, another first, I actually decided NOT to wet my hair to comb it. I realized that I needn't dampen it to tight curls and get my hair a bit closer to my head. Why? I don't want short hair, so why try to make it appear shorter? My first dry-style.
(My students loved it! Despite a bit of ribbing).
Well. Thanks to everyone for their support and advice. It is good to have friends on a common path.

Looking good my man! Students, you say? I teach 5th grade. Today one of my female students told me my hair was longer and thicker than hers. Yes!, I thought to myself! At staff meetings I sometimes look around and count the women who have shorter hair than me. Short hair on women seems to be quite common these days atleast where I live. Maybe one day I'll have the longest hair on the staff. Dig it! Keep that goal of 2008 on the horizon. Hopefully ALL OF US will be there with you. Bruce
