Well hello board! :)
I am constantly being lectured from all of my family about how my hair is thin; it has now grown down just before'hitting' my bicep. Can I have layers to help my hair look thicker at all? And if so what type should I ask for? Thank you very much
Hi Triumph,
Layering is EXACTLY the WRONG thing. If you get it thinned or layered, then it'll probably obey your wishes even less. Cutting hair for thickness (or length) is like having intercourse for virginity! (that's the g-rated version of the proverb)
Your family seems to hope secretely that layering your hair will make it worse, so that you get frustrated, give up, and cut it all off.
If at all possible, tell your folks to stop bugging you about your hair - period. If not, just walk out whenever they start lecturing.
In any case, it's great you held out until it got that long. Don't spoil what you have achieved!
Happy growth!
Hans-Uwe
I have fine hair and had it layered to give it abit more body, I kind of wish I hadnt now ! Is it best to just let the layers grow out then or what ?
