I always wanted to grow my hair long but I have a very conservative boss. I am afraid I might lose my job. I was trying to find some way to hide my long hair. I looked at some wigs but they didn't look real. Any suggestions..
I know what you mean. I have the same problem.
What has been working for me is some mouse for my long ponytail which I neatly put directly under a high roll collar so that my ponytail is under my shirt. You need to have a tight ponytail band, and it ca work well. Get your hair layered on sides and top and just let the back grow and you can maintain a conservative fascade.
Good luck, and keep letting it grow, man!
not to bring up the obvious or anything, but unless long hair is specifically not allowed on men or women, firing you on that basis is gender-based harassment - I have gotten a district manager fired for the same.
However, in general, it's never been worth it to me to have a boss with that incredibly disparate opinions from my own. I have worn pagan jewelry to job interviews because I didn't want the job in any case if they had a problem with my religion.

I think the best solution would be: ask your boss if he has something against it. Or try the indirect way, say to your boss "I bet
i can do this or that, if not i let my hair grow long for about a year or two" Dont say "I want to let it grow to my hips" or anything like that.
Well with some type's of Bosses that might be impossible
but if you can cope with your boss on other topics and he is
just conserevative about hairstyles, it sounds like a good idea.
