Starting about 4 months ago, when ever I wash my hair with shampoo it seems to almost stick together after I rinse the shampoo out of it, and it stays like that for 2 days. Its pretty bad to the point of where I cant bring my fingers through my hair without catching tangles...
Anyone know what causes this?
I rinse my hair with just water twice a day, and wash my hair with shampoo once ever 6-8 days, the shampoo I use is Pantene Pro-V (not sure if thats a good shampoo or not...
I have the same problem but since I started using conditioner after every wash the tangling has stopped. You need the lubricant that washing and rinsing remove. :) I also use panteen pro-v cuz that is what my wife buys. I'm lazy at shopping, but the panteen conditioner works for me.. :)
Hi
You mentioned "Shampoo" but no other product. If presently you are not following-up with a conditioner this is most likely the problem. Conditioner is really a "must" for the majority of us.
Hope this solves the problem.
Yea, I didnt know I was supposed to use conditioners.... Opps!
If you are not using conditioner, then this is why. The problem with long hair is that it needs the natural oils that your body excretes through the scalp in order to keep the hair "conditioned." When you wash it, these oils are washed off along with the dirt. Without this, your hair will have problems with tangling and the like.
Conditioner is meant as a replacement for these natural oils that will be washed away when you shampoo your hair.
Pantene Pro-V is okay, but they do have different formulations for various hair conditions.
I like using Pantene except I'm kind of allergic to it. I was using Mane 'n Tail Moisturizing, but I hate the smell of that stuff. I'm currently using Garnier Fructis Long Hair formula conditioner, shampoo, and leave-in with good results. I also use an anti-frizz spray which also helps.
Your mileage may vary, though, so definitely try different stuff until you find whatever works best for you. - Reinhart
