I just moved to Page, AZ which adjoins the Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona. There is long hair everywhere. Not just on the Navajos but on the Anglos. Not uncommon for women to wear their hair loose and below their butts. Many of the Navajo men braid their long hair in the Traditional way.
There are also lots of "hair cuff" type Navajo jewelry in silver and turquoise or beaded. Not sure if they sell on line or not but one place I got some great hair jewelry was at Cameron Trading Post. Their website is at www.camerontradingpost.com
So nice to be around so many other long hairs of both sexes.
From a hair related point of view I live in the wrong place of the world. The only thing that was of big interest for me in the past in the western civilization I found in the natural and mathematical scientific area. All this short haired business activities and money enjoying population is something I have to belong to to ensure my individual surveillance. But there is no joy to have to do it.
