Hello All,
I have one length waist length long wavy hair. It has been a year since I last had it trimmed. The woman that trimmed my hair since 1992 has retired. I have noticed that I get a lot more tangles at the ends of my hair now. I probably have a few split ends. Also, the back is about 3 inches longer that the front hair. I was wondering if I should get it trimmed even all the way round. I realize that I would loose a little bit of length. A guy I know who used to have long hair has given me the name of his stylest. He had long hair for many years and it always looked good. What do you think?
Sincerely,
Darrin
Hey Darrin
I myself would go by "instinct" at this point and what you desire and like best. "If" your goal HAS been met, perhaps a trim every 3-6 months? Definately the Tangles and Split-ends should be tended to so as to eliminate and make having long hair a breeze to work with.
Justin
Hi Justin,
That sounds like good advice. My friend who had long hair said you can trust the lady at this salon. She owns the salon and is the only hair stylist there. I know that my hair is getting more tangles and knots at the ends. This is most likely do to damage from sports etc. It would be much easier to work with as well.
Thanks,
Darrin
I'm sticking to yearly, although it's been over that now. I don't trust anyone, so it's still going to be a bit. I have the same tangled ends issue, probably more so because of my "bleach bottle" addiction.
I think every 6 months would be good. That gives around 3" for them to mess up on. LOL
I would say "I just want a dusting." This would mean to me less than an inch, to them up to 2 inches.
I trust no one but my daughter to my hair, and forgot to have her trim it last time I visited. :-(
