If i did this correctly there should be a pic of an anime character (edward elric) of whom's hair i REALLY wanted ever since i saw Full Metal Alchemist...i've been growing before i first saw it but he's the character who's hair style i want when my hair is long enough,...if the pic did'nt show up it's because i'm a noob...so i'll just describe it lol. Basicly he has a braided pony-tail BUT with the bangs NOT in the pony tail and his bangs are parted right in the center in front and parted to each side. also some of the hair on the side is free too.
I want someone to try this and take pics....because i've NEVER seen this style in real life....maybe it just does'nt work out like it does in the anime world lol..
OH and if you can't do the braided pony tail because your hair is'nt long enough to you just dont know know....just do a regular pony tail..but what i really want to see is basicly a pony tail in back and bangs in front and some hair on the side free and parted in the center.
and try to get different angles too.

Hey bud, good to see you around the board again and that you haven't forsaken us! :)
Anyway the style you describe is one that I have liked myself very much in the past. In fact in the first couple of years last time I grew my hair out and this 2nd time I have purposely left the bangs out and tied the rest back.
These 2 pictures are from mid-2005.
I hope you get to your goal, you can do (and will look hella cool in the end too!)

about 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch longer...hopefully by the end of the year i'll have reached my initial long term goal of chin length hair ...hopefully
The stache comes and goes, but the hair just gets longer-It's now about mid-back.
