Things are looking up-even on the last bastion of short hair, the golf course! I do a little golf on the side(started playing in 1999, in fact this was why I cut my hair in 1999 after having it long for 30 years) In 2004, when I started growing it back, I took some pretty heavy abuse from some of the members of the golf course I play at.(One guy in particular with a buzzcut who I was happy to see leave that year) Once I was able to get my hair in a tail, the snide comments diminished considerably, to the point they are almost nonexistent now. Even better, this past winter one of the members of my weekend foursome started growing his hair out-he now wears it in a (high) ponytail and appears to be growing it for the long haul. Also, on the PGA tour, where you NEVER saw longhairs, you are starting to see some now (Check out Charley Hoffman) I also seem to be seeing more longhairs everywhere now. (Just wish I wasn''t the only one at my workplace) Anyone else notice things seem to be looking up?
there are 2 longhairs where I work...so I'm not the only one,pheeww..:P
of course...I work at a university library...so I guess that helps :P
I work at Tucson's city bus co., and there is a very liberal policy regarding hair length, so I am 1 of many! Nobody gives me any grief (well, one lady driver keeps threatening to bring shears, but we started working here together 2 years ago, so it's all in fun.) I do, however, get a lot more flirting now! 8)
