From now on i'm gonna take good care of my hair, not using any styling products, blow drying, straightening or dye.
But i'm wondering how often do you guys trim your hair of bad/split ends?
Would it be enough if i do it every other month, and how much?
Hi Simon,
If your hair is well looked after like you say, because you hair will be less dry and brittle, split ends will not occur after two or months being cut. If your hair is prone to spliting maybe every 6 months but, a check maybe every year will do otherwise. After all, if you keep trimming your hair, it will slow your progress.
Hope this helps
Neil
split ends sorta appear randomly ( I think )..and so..what I would do is (if my hair were long enough), whenever I'm doing nothing or just bored, I would just start pulling my back hairs in front of me (cause that's where most of my splits are, have no clue why :P ) and start targeting ONLY the split ends...like Justin suggested :P
But what does a split ends look like? I've always havin trouble finding them, can anybody post a pic or something?
just picture it as a single hair that "splits" into 2 hairs near the end of it...hope that helps.
If you can't find them, I'd guess you don't have them.
Hey simpa. I am having some split end problems as well. According to all the advice i have been given, There is no way to prevent them. You can minimize the amount of splits but cannot obliterate them for all eternity! To find a split end , Do the following: Get a strand of hair and , Twist it in a wringing motion. Look at this strand closely and , Target all the little hairs sticking out the strand. There you have it: Split Ends! I am no expert so don't consider my advice completely accurate. Try to contact " JUSTIN". Im certain he can help you out

Hi Simon,
I'd not look regularly at all - just use some good conditioner whenever your ends start feeling dry and when it gets difficult to comb or brush or finger-comb through. In my personal experience, you can even leave them alone, as long as you take good care of your hair (try dimethicone/cyclomethicone if the problem re-appears).
Good luck,
Hans-Uwe
