We live in a world of behavioral conditioning by corrupt people in power that have influenced a weak society to discriminate against men with long hair.
I have had long hair all my life and have been discriminated against all my life because of it(except by other longhairs and the women who like it).
We need to stand up for our freedom to look as we want, the government is a useless brood of vipers driven by greed that are just puppets on the string to the rothchilds and the foriegn federal reserve bank, they can all go to hell where they belong, so never expect any help asking those weak and ignorant politicians to stop the discrimination.
I hold allegance to no system of this world, I will grow my hair long and to hell with those who do not like it, but for those who like long hair protect the rights of males with long hair.
What i have learned is IF you are rich...and dont have to work for a living...you can have long hair...and can tell the world to go to hell.............BUT if you got to work for a living....you have to play the rules for the man.for the need of money to keep a job.......thats why so many guys end up having to cut it.......THE NEED OF A JOB FOR MONEY TO LIVE.....And they know that...
I guess society always dislikes any kind of independent thought. Throughout history people have paid dearly to think independently. Galeleo was put under house arrest because he said something that was contrary to what people back then believed. Many people have bled in order to exercise their freedom to be themselves. Lets face it, those in authority just doesnt like people who be themselves. Even the disciples of Jesus, who doesnt depend on society for a living, died horrible deaths just to proclaim what they believed.
You need to get off the drugs, dude. I would hire (and have) qualified longhairs as employees. But I would never even contemplate hiring someone with such a crappy attitude as yours.
Ever heard of the "self fulfilling prophecy". You seem to be a perfect example.
It's always easy to blame others for your own shortcomings. Does having long hair make it more difficult to get ahead? Probably. But is it possible to get ahead. Without a doubt. Just takes a little more effort.
Quit playing the poor little boy screwed by society and the government. If you want to make a difference, quit whining and go out and do something about it.

While I think Gary Shipp is over exagerating the situation, descrimination of this type and others do happen more often then not. The problem is long hair on guys is not like skin color or gender. It is simply viewed as a means of rebellion even though that's not always the case. To me it's a sign of my independence, and independence should not equal rebellion in the free world.
True. And the fact that you recognize this is the first step to overcoming it. I am growing my hair out also; I deal with bankers and business people daily. I realize I may have to go out of my way to show them that I am a responsible businessman who happens to have long hair. This is something I am willing to do to both have my hair as I prefer and to exist successfully in the world in which I live.
You are correct; long hair is not like skin color or gender. It is something that can easily be changed. That is why the extra effort towards understanding needs to be taken, as many don't understand why we want our hair long.
In other words, do as you say. Make people see that you an independent person, not a rebellious one.

Physically, yes. Psychologically, often not. In this way it is like religion. For some longhairs, having long hair is as much a part of their identity as religion is for other people.

Here is a quote I have posted so I can see it every day:
"The greatest personal limitation is to be found not in the things you want to do and can't, but in the things you've never considered doing"
