Hi all:
Here's a photo taken last month of me (on the left) and a musician from Perú named Santino. This is 3 years 10 months of growth for me, having started November 2002 with a buzz cut. There were times when I didn't know if I'd make it, but I love my hair now and wouldn't dream of cutting it; it's become a part of my personality, and I get a lot of compliments on it.
Regarding Santino, his hair's shorter than it used to be, but it still looks great. Also, his music is an incredible combination of rock/pop with strong Latin and world beats. His CD is currently an independent release (available at http://www.cdbaby.com), but he just signed a distribution contract and it will hit stores next Spring. After that, I think he's on to enormous things, a la Juanes or Maná, if you follow Latin music. In fact, Santino has already had a song on the "War of the Worlds" and "Employee of the Month" soundtracks, and on the FX series "The Shield."
You can hear a few songs here: http://www.myspace.com/santination, and see a couple of videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/santinomusic.
Cheers,
Jeremy
The exclamation is well deserved as you are looking truly metal. A real inpiration.
And good to see you around the board again buddy.
I'm so glad that you're happy where you're at, especially because of those times when it was a bit hard growing it out.
Thanks Dean. And me...looking metal...woo hoo! No one's ever said that about me, but I like it! Makes me think I can pull of my Halloween costume: '80s glam rock a la Twisted Sister and Poison. :-)
I've been around the board...typically checking in every couple of days to keep track of everyone...but I've not posted in a while. Hope you're well!
Cheers,
Jeremy
Hola Jeremy Brett! Long time, no see! (Longa vez, no ve)???
Your hair is looking great and you are looking like you are having a good time. You were in Peru at the concert or Santino came to America? Either way, it is always cool to actually meet your favorite artists in person. I am trying to get backstage passes for Dierks Bentley when he comes here in November.
Hope your Spanish studies are still progressing well.
It is no doubt that you do receive lots of compliments. I compliment you as well, "Great hair, mi amigo!"
Vaya con Dios, Bragi
(who doesn't REALLY know enough Spanish to get out of a rainstorm!)
Hey Jeremy,
Looking Good. I'm at the 3 years 10 months stage myself, pics above. I see you've gone curly... have you stopped straightening your hair?
=)

Hi guys:
Thanks for the compliments. It was a long road, and the curls didn't make it any easier. But I've far surpassed my original goal (original goal: shoulder-length, currently: just below shoulderblades, new goal: lower back) and like the curls.
Bragi: The photo was taken in Raleigh, NC. Santino's brother/manager lives there, so Santino's in the area a lot. My partner and I have been fortunate to get to know both of them over the past couple of months, as we're trying to get Santino to Asheville for a show before his career explodes, which I really think will happen within the next year. You heard it here first!
Sorted: Your hair is looking amazing too! I forgot that we started at the same time. Look how far we've come!
And the rest: Thanks for your kind words. Seriously, I wouldn't have made it this far without this board.
Cheers,
Jeremy
