Hey Guys!
It's been a long time since I last posted, but from time to time I have been wondering how everyone's been 'growing' on the hyperboard.
Just to fill the gaps and cracks, I visited Tenerife on holiday last December and met up with Sorted. I think I might have mentioned it before but just incase I didn't. He's a top man, down to earth and a great laugh. During our meeting, we had non locals come up to us trying to sell us toy shop rejects for example, a moving dog with glowing red or green eyes! Sorted, as having lived there for a large proportion of his life, knew exactly what to say to send them running -hillarious! Also, in studying, I passed my foundation year in Physics at University with an overall first class.I had to re-sit two modules but 2nd time round I was a lot better. I had my 20th birthday on October 4th. I've got some good pictures of that occasion on my mates camera, but I will ask him to send them to me so I can post one or two here.
Also, I've recently been dating with a girl and we're more or less going out together now. I'm still unsure if I want to make any commitment yet, but we've talked about seeing each other once every week or two as we live in two different Uni's, and I promised that if we parted, it will be on good terms. We'll see how it goes!
I'm still growing my hair, and although allowing my sister to trim, (well, tear) two inches off my hair in the summer, and allowing one of my m8s to put quite a few dreadlocks in my hair for a few weeks, my hair's looking surprisingly healthy! I wash it every 3-4 days at the moment with Treseme Shampoo and Fudge Unleaded conditioner. I don't have a hair-dryer in my flat so I just let it air dry. I have more lectures to go to this year so finding the time between my social life and studying to wash my mane has been tricky.
Currently I'm 35 months into growing, next month will be my 3 year anniversary! Before the cut, my bangs were an inch below my nipples, but now it is more or less the same place as before the cut. I always wear my hair in a ponytail now, as my hair has no shape and does little to enhance my face. I'm moderately considering cutting my hair so it looks better down. I will post a picture soon hopefully, as I will need advice.
Well, gotta go. I need to finish an essay about the Neutron and then get the train down to the captial to see Razorlight live! Can't wait.
BTW, does anyone like the ex band Crowded House here, or Neil Finn? Neil did an Impromptu live performance in a pub in Bath, UK, last night. I would have done anything to go, but as I live far away, It would have been impossible to get there.sigh.
It's good to see most of who I knew are still here, handing out expert advice. Keep it up, guys.
Comments welcome,
Chris
Hi Chris,
great to hear from you, and, congratulations for your achievements at the university! You've been studying hard, and nuclear physics is certainly a fascinating subject - no wonder you were away from the board for a while.
We're certainly all glad that your hair has continued to grow, and three years (even if it's minus 2 inches) is certainly serious length. Personally, I think that long hair at one length is not necessarily shapeless, but that is alos a matter of taste. I find pony tails (and occasional braids, where one length is a definite advantage, see eg Jason's site) the most practical way of wearing my hair, especially in the summer, and the length is certainly visible, unless I'm being looked up straight from the front (and, normally, our heads are always moving somewhat during a conversation).
In any case, great to hear from you again, welcome back, and happy growth!
All the best to you (and your girlfriend, too) !
Hans-Uwe
Hey SurferDude,
Good to hear from you!
It sounds like you're having a whirlwind of a good time.
Keep it long,
