Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to view my post. I've been growing my hair out for 5 months, I started with very short hair. It was buzzed on the sides and back, the top not being much longer. My hair has definitley made progress, there's no doubt about that. I am having trouble with a few things, mostly just getting used to having this much hair, after all, this is the longest I've had it ever in my life. Anyway, the hair above my ears is bothering me. I don't know if I should jam it behind my ear, or let it hang over. When it hangs over, I have a habit of pulling and tugging it, making my scalp sore. I suppose it's a matter of opinion, but I wonder what other guys have done with this while growing their hair out.
Also, my bangs are reaching the point where they kind of get into my eyelashes. I toss my head to one side to get the hair out of my eyes, but it makes my bangs "curl" or "wave" sort of. I'm thinking that with time this will stop once I get some length and the hair developes enough weight for gravity to keep it from happening. My original goal was to grow for a year, but at this point I can see I will need a few more months than that to achieve shoulder length, all one length. Thanks for your time, love the site.
In my case nothing. I just let it all grow.(And NO Haircuts.)
If your Bangs are now this long, it very well may be that you can make a center part and use a "little" Gel to help hold all in place?
Yes, it all takes time, but in the end is worth it. I have yet to hear a guy who has made it say: "I'm sorry that I made it to my goal."
Glad you like this site. So do I! :-)
You've entered the awkward phase of growth, where the hair is just long enough to be noticeable, and just short enough to be an annoyance. It lasts about a year. My advice to you is the same for every guy in this stage of growth:
Wet it down, brush it straight back, and drown it in hairspray.
Good luck.
I'm still in the awkward phase.. I'm almost out of it but what I do is I wear a beanie. It keeps the hair out of your eyes and they look friggin cool lol. for me wetting my hair down and combing it back makes me look really odd.. but of course that's just me. Just thought i'd throw another option out there for you. beanies, bandanas stuff like that that wont constrict your head too much..
