I found the board while browsing Google over the weekend. This is certainly something different, so I decided to post when I could find some free time. I still don't have any, but after 3 days of solid studying, time looses meaning :)
Anyway, I started growing my hair out some time last year. I made the decision to try it out and so far I am pleased with the results.
It's just long enough to put it into a ponytail, woohoo! Enjoy the pictures everyone! I look forward to posting.

Welcome "JeffL" and glad that you found us. Your hair looks to be doing really well in the amount of time you have allowed it to grow. Glad you got it to this stage because now the real fun begins!

P.S.: Just noted the Bavarian flag - do you have family in Bavaria?
I can't wait either. Hopefully it will only be a few more months before I can put my hair in a ponytail without the bangs not reaching :) It may not look as good in a ponytail, but it's handy in some situations. I'm not sure exactly how long it's been since I started growing out my hair, but I'd say it's on the order of 18 months, with 2 or 3 trims to shorten the bangs (hmm, I might be starting to regret that now, hehe).
Nope. The flag was a gift from my grandparents. My relation to Bavaria is that I was born there. Nuremburg specifically. My parents just happened to be stationed there at the time of my birth.
