We've all heard that cutting hair is supposed to "stimulate growth".
Is there any evidence for this?
Given that hair is dead. How could this be?
How does the hair folicle "know" that the hair has been cut?
Does it matter how much is cut?
Hello, hair grows from the roots and they don't know anything about a cut. From my experience I can say a hair cut only makes the hair shorter but doesn't stimulate it's growing, and I went sometimes from very short to longer then shoulder length hair.
