Hi everybody,
it seems to work out quite fine here after about 14 and a half months of growth. I just wanted to tell everybody how good I feel about my decision to grow my hair - I hope this is encouraging for those of you still struggling with awkward phase!
Last week I've gotten two very nice comments by different girls I know but haven't seen in a while about how great my longer hair suits me. And it's not that it was ME who started to talk about my hair - it was THEM :-) So, this is totally new for me to get positive comments on my hair, never ever had that before with short hair.
Another thing which makes life easy currently is that I don't have to wash my hair every day anymore to have it look neatly; instead washing only about twice a week is okay before it gets too greasy. Finally combing my hair DOES make an impact! which it didn't with short hair because my hair is soooo thick and unruly...
So in short: No more short hair! ;-)
Best regards & thanks for your support,
Alex
Hehe, awesome!
The best reward is just knowing that you look and feel great. The compliments are the icing on the cake, as far as I'm concerned.
Oh, and it gives me something long term to keep on the back of my mind (literally!)
I'm hoping too that with shampoo-less washing, I can further reduce maintenance time. Who said managing hair was work?

Hey Bro,
Great news! Sounds like you're enjoying the journey as we say. I saw a girl yesterday who I hadn't seen in a while. She said, "I see you're growing your hair again." It wasn't exactly a compliment but she noticed...
Anyway, glad to hear your positive comments today. I'm about where you are in terms of months (15 1/2). This year we will really see some changes as we leave that awkward stage behind and start getting a bit of length. The first year it's like, just forget about your hair completely and let it grow. Then all of a sudden you have a "mess" of it and can't do anything with it. About midway into year #2 (for me anyway) you will see another big change and it gets long enough to put in a ponytail and heavy enough to hang down vs. stick out. I went to my H.School reunion at the 2 1/2 year mark and it looked AWESOME! At the time I was 48 and the only long hair there! I cut mine at the 3 year mark for family reasons. Never had it longer than that but this time around I'm going for broke...terminal length. Later my man - Bruce'ster
that's great man!! it's great when compliments come our way especially when we least expect it!!even though I haven't received any explicit compliments from any attractive girls, the "awkward" phase for me is a blessing in the sense that the "awkward" phase isn't much of an awkward phase!!hang in there buddy, you'll make it!!
