Hello friends,
For many years I had been putting up with upper eyelid ptosis and a fallen brow. It had reached the point where I had lost about 20% of my peripheral vision. I could no longer wear contacts because the heavy eyelids pushed them off the corneas. The constant weight of he heavy brow resulted in daily tension headaches.
On Friday morning, I had the surgery to remove the excess tissue both above and below my eyebrows. I am bruised and swollen and in a fair amount of pain. (I found I couldn't stomach the codeine, so I have to resort to less effective OTC pain medicine).
My caregivers tell me I am doing well and I have to believe them. But I look rather Frankenstein-ish at the moment.
I just wanted to say "hello" and pass along the news.

But a very good-looking LONGHAIRED Frankenstein, I'm sure!
...Sounds like the surgery will be of great help in the long run, though. My best to you, --- and hopes for a speedy and complete recovery!

I have also found that codeine messed up my stomach, it felt like my stomach was tied up in knots and quite painfull. The way I got around this was to eat a piece of bread or some crackers, that helped me get rid of the stomach cramping.I hope that you heal quickly, best wishes to you William. :)

I almost forgot, if your nose starts itching with codeine, that means you are allergic to it.
Hi William,
I just wanted to pass along my best wishes, and hope everything goes well.
Keep it growing (I was always impressed with how thick your hair is)

good luck and don't worry you will recover it just takes some time. i had surgery last year and when it was over i was all swollen and red and blue but all that eventually goes away, a lot of it in a few weeks and now i'm totally like I was before (except for some hard to see scars).
Hi William,
I wish you a speedy recovery and lasting freedom from the eyelid/brow related problems.
Thanks for updating us,
- Oren
