Hey guys, i just wanted to ask you if on of you know how to obtain the facial hair???because i have no facial hair since highschool.,,that was is 2003 until now..,so guys can you pls help me out.,i'd really really appreciate it...thanx..
John,
This is a matter of genetics. There is nothing you can do which is safe and healthy, so don't try.
My best friend, age 55, has a nice moustache, but says he cannot grow a beard. He does not need one to be a handsome man.
I acquired facial hair relatively early, and do have a beard and moustache, but amazingly I have remarkably thin eyebrows. I have no problem with my beard, but wish I did have a little more fuzz above my eyes.
My friend has beautiful straight silver hair. I have irregularly curly hair, once blond but darening with age, at 72, still minimal gray. I would like to have the straight silver hair, but I count myself fortunate to still have hair.
With a little though, and good advice from supportive friends, we can all be attractive with what we have.
If you hair grows, then be thankful and not worry about the facial hair. In time you will very likely be able to have a moustache. Even a light moustache can be very attractive, and it serves the purpose of symbolically expressing that a long haired man off as a man -- not that there is anything at all wrong with being a woman, but in fact most of us are men and want to be long haired men.
I assume that this makes you about 21. Still very young to have a full beard, depending on your genetics. Many guys see a change in their facial hair well into their 30's. Be patient (which is no comfort). It may change. What do the male members of your family on both sides look like? do they have beards? THat's a clue.
Robert
If it's any comfort, I'm 32 and can just now grow a goatee. Still no mustache, still very thin sideburns.
Yeah, as they said, it's all in your genetics. I'm 21, and if I didn't trim my beard, I'd eventually look like the guys from ZZ Top. My brother, however, is 19, and cannot grow a HAIR on his face (besides very very very light wiskers near his adams apple). I say don't worry about it. There really is nothing you can do until your body decides it's time to grow some facial hair. It's weird though, as Calcedonian mentioned about his eyebrows, I have a very full and thick beard, chest hair, a bit of back hair :(, but VERY light armpit hair. I don't know, that just seems kinda random! Anyways, good luck with it :)
I'm afraid it is entirely genetic although your beard certainly may not develop properly until you are in your mid-twenties. Have a look at other members of your family - that will likely guide you.
If it is any comfort I am now 55 with brown but greying and have never really had dense enough to grow I beard that I would want to keep and my sideburns have remained annoyingly thin. At least I have a full head of hair and enough for a tail and that will do me.
...grow a beard.
Don't believe any strange tales: there's only one thing that will allow you to know if you will ever be able to grow a beard...
...and that is TIME!
Good luck
If I grow beards late in life (like im 25 now and I only started having any significant beard, most people grow lots when they turn 18) is that a sign of low testerone level?
This is evidently genetic. When I was 18, it took many weeks to grow the goatee I kept until my 40th birthday. It was very low maintenance. However, now I'm 58, and I don't have any more facial hair than I had then. It's very convenient as I can go several days without saving before anyone would notice. I don't have any body hair at all except for underarms, pubic areas, and a bit on my face. That situation has never changed over all the decades.
I am 25 now and I shave once a week or something.... because even after a week there is only short stubs of facial hair.
LOL...I thought you were a teenager!!seriously...you don't look older than 16! :P
