  One of the hardest parts for me when I decided to grow out my hair was just how much I look like my mom. My dad really likes to emphasize this as he doesn't like my hair (this is really getting on my nerves).
  Once your hair is longer than your mom's, you'll start to look much different (it worked this way for me!). Anyway, the hair looks great, so don't worry about it.

    Same here. I knew I resembled her more than Dad in terms of facial features, but it wasn't until my hair got well past shoulder length that it became really obvious. Still, no one who knows us has ever mistaken me for her! LOL
