Here are some updated hair growth images I just took.
Earlier in the day, I had a deep-conditioning treatment, which was way past due. It had been at least two months since I'd had it done, and I was starting to notice the results.
I had about a ¼" taken off the ends because I was getting some split ends, and it had been nearly a year since I have had a trim.
I've been seeing more guys in Muncie with truly long hair lately. Just as I was leaving Target this afternoon, I saw a twentysomething guy walk toward the store. He was dressed in a very stylish black suit and had an incredible blonde maine of hair that was well past midback. As he was walking into the store, his back was directly in line with my left-hand car mirror, and the contrast between his blonde hair and the dark suit was awesome.
Yesterday, a neighbor and I went to a BBQ restaurant in downtown Muncie, and a friend of one of the girls who works there was in the restaurant. He was dressed more alterna-boy style (wallet chain, Chuck Taylor's, etc.), but his hair was tied into a pony tail and was definitely waist-length. When I went up to pay for my meal, I told the girl that I was jealous of her friend, and she cracked that he spends more on shampoos and conditioners than she does. My hair is only half as long as this guy's and I really was envious. I know more now than ever that I was meant to have hair at least that long, or longer. Somebody else on this board wrote recently that having long hair was an integral part of who they were. I know exactly what he means. Losing my hair now would be comparable to losing an arm or a leg...it's just so much a part of me that losing it would be very devastating.
At any rate, I'd appreciate any comments the group has about my latest two update photos.

Absolutely gorgeous hair! Straight, silky, amd shiny, and in phenomenal condition!--can really be seen from the picture of the back. I'm really envious and can only dream of hair like that. All the best and keep it growing!

Really nice hair, Jon, and I especially enjoyed reading your insightful comments. Yes, I couldn't agree more that it really is an issue of self-identity as a longhair that seems to "speak to us" whenever we see another longhair. I've felt this way all my life, --- even when my hair was short!
Take care. And keep that great mane of yours growing and growing!!!

That's a very nice update! It's funny because I've definitely noticed more longhairs around Muncie as well. Then again, I do spend a large percentage of my time around the campus, but when I do go to Wal-Mart or Target, there seem to be more and more.
Oh well, anyway, good to see progress on your part, Brad. =)

I can totally relate to how you feel about your hair as a leg or an arm. I too would be completely devistated if I had to cut my hair off.
I have been noticing long hairs everywhere here. Everytime I go out, I normally see one or two longhairs.
Your hair is looking nice and getting very long.
Happy growing,
ESDI
Looking great Jon!
Great hair and nice big goatee!

You're my inspiration for growing out my goatee. I've decided to go for broke and see how long it will grow. I just wish I didn't have that big streak of gray :(
How long is your beard getting? Do you have any updated photos to post on the board?
